ATR and LPC Supervision Groups

I offer individual and group supervision that includes case presentation, artmaking and continuing education and support. Supervision counts toward LPC and ATR hours. I have ongoing monthly groups for art therapists and those seeking art therapy consultation.

I have been supervising for 8 years now and absolutely love this part of my work. I have found that the art component creates a rich and creative environment for artists and non artists alike. It is a powerful and informative way to explore work with clients and a way toward self care.

MENTOR PROGRAM

Beginning September 1, 2008

The purpose of this program is to offer master’s level art therapists an opportunity to begin practicing their skills on a small scale with individuals and groups while receiving group supervision and specialized training in starting, managing and marketing an art therapy private practice. As well it will aid in bringing community awareness to the efficacy of using expressive arts for healing, growth and development for individuals, families and communities.

This program offers each participant:
2 ˝ hours a week of studio 1 office time (available times only)
3 hours a month of group studio space
3 hours a month of group supervision with other mentors

The cost will be $230 a month or $1250 for 6 months if paid in full (which includes art, play and sandtray materials for office time only, you will provide your own materials for groups.) Participating therapists are to find their own clients for individual and group sessions. You will collect your own fees for services rendered to clients and groups.

The office space and group room are at beautiful STERLING DRIVE STUDIOS and the group supervision will be facilitated by Sue Wallingford, MA, LPC, ATR-BC. Client contact and supervision hours will count toward both LPC and ATR. Mentors may work together in planning and running art therapy groups. There is a limit of 4 therapists for this program. A commitment of 6 months will be required.

There will be a training on Saturday, August 16th , from 10-4 on “Beginning a Private Practice.” The cost is $185 and will count toward supervision hours.
